What is TiXiE?
TiXiE is the tip & text app that lets you instantly support on-site service workers—like baristas, cooks, cashiers, mechanics, front-desk workers etc. —by sending them tips and short messages right from your phone.
How do I use the app?
If you're a customer, simply stay at a business location for 5 minutes (or skip with a subscription). You’ll then see a grid of nearby workers. Tap a worker to view their profile and send a tip or message.
How do workers get started?
Workers create a profile, upload a photo/emoji, and list their workplace and job title. When they arrive at work and check in, they become visible to nearby customers who are using the app.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Both customers and workers need to sign up to access core features like tipping, messaging, worker dashboards, and campaign tracking.
Can I tip outside the app?
Yes! Many workers list their Venmo, CashApp, or social links directly in their bios for convenient off-platform tips or follow-ups.
Is this anonymous?
No. Both customers and workers build basic profiles with a photo/emoji, name, and short bio. This ensures transparency and keeps the platform friendly and respectful.
What happens when I send a message?
Messages are limited to one per customer and one reply per worker. You can choose from pre-written, friendly phrases or use the worker’s bio to follow up externally.
How do businesses use TiXiE?
In Phase 2 of the app, businesses will be able to launch peer-to-peer (P2P) advertising campaigns by partnering with TiXiE workers.
