TiXiE ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Age Requirement
TiXiE is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17. If we discover a user is under 17, we will delete their account and associated data immediately.

SMS Communications
By providing your phone number and creating a TiXiE account, you consent to receive a one-time passcode (OTP) via SMS to verify your identity. This is the only type of SMS message we send — we do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile phone number or SMS consent data with any third party for marketing, promotional, or affiliate purposes under any circumstances.
Message frequency: One message per login or account creation attempt (OTP only).
Message & data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any SMS from TiXiE to cancel future messages.
We collect your location to show nearby tasks, verify you are at the correct location when recording, and apply the discovery exclusion radius.
Location is collected only when the app is in use (foreground permission)
We do not track your location when the app is closed
You can disable location access in device settings, but core features will be unavailable
Discovery Feed & Exclusion Radius
Videos submitted to the public discovery feed are visible to other TiXiE users. To protect your privacy, we apply an exclusion radius: users in your immediate geographic area will not see videos you have posted to the discovery feed. This prevents your content from being shown to people directly around you.
Video Privacy
Requested videos are private by default, visible only to the requester and one friend if the requester chooses to share
Discovery videos are public and visible to all TiXiE users outside your exclusion radius
All videos include a TiXiE watermark for attribution
Videos are automatically deleted 48 hours after submission
Videos cannot be downloaded by other users
Data Retention
Active Accounts: Data retained while your account is active
Videos: Automatically deleted 48 hours after submission
Chat Messages: Automatically deleted 48 hours after submission
Payment Records: Retained for 7 years per financial regulations
Account Deletion: You can request deletion; data removed within 30 days
Data Sharing
We share your data only with the following third-party services, solely as necessary to operate TiXiE. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information — including mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data — with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
Task requesters see your anonymous handle only. Your real identity is never shared unless you choose to communicate via in-app chat. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request.

Encryption: Data encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Secure Storage: Videos stored on Cloudflare R2 with access controls
Payment Security: PCI-compliant payment processing via Stripe
Auto-Deletion: Videos and chats automatically purged after 48 hours

California residents have the right to know what data is collected, delete personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your data.
EU/EEA users may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. We process data based on consent, contract performance, and legitimate interests. Data may be transferred to the US (Stripe, Cloudflare, etc.).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of TiXiE after changes constitutes acceptance.
